Just about jet black beautiful, with a mocha cream head. One glass pours half foam, the other is about a finger or so, but both show great retention, and beautiful sticky lacing.

Nose is roasty and creamy with a sweet upper level that's almost like sweet cream. There's some chocolate in there as well.

Flavour offers a lot more depth and flavour than the nose did. Still very much in the roasty realm of stouts. Roasted malts, big creamy coffee bitterness, Some faint nuttiness, dark chocolate, and again almost like cream. It almost tastes like it's got lactose in there, but if so it would be a subtle amount.

High carbonation that presents almost like it was spicy (it's not), but the body around that is creamy and smoothe. Finish lingers with coffee and bitter chocolate.
This is real tasty.
Yum.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, light coffee and a touch of dried plum. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, drip coffee, cocoa, dried plums and dates. Lingering coffee and cocoa notes, somewhat dry. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid, full flavored stout with some interesting dark fruit notes. It's what a mixture of export stout and a Baltic porter might taste like, and it's a good combo. Great creamy body and solid malt. This is a very worthy stout that I hope to see again.
