This is an interesting neighborhood place in north Seattle not far from the University, and just a couple of blocks from the upscale University Village shopping area. I have liked some of Ravenna's canned beers better but a very nice brewpub atmosphere with big garden, brewing equipment, and four rooms like an English pub gone goofy. Large outdoor areas for sun or shade. Mexican plates from the food truck were good. Well worth a visit if you're in Seattle.

Visited on a Monday around 4:00 PM, had a couple small beers (CDA and Czech pils, plus tasters of a rauchbier and a foeder sour). Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, very happy to answer questions.
Location is confusing and interesting. Lots of outdoor space, some indoor space, with weird separations and a weird lack of separation to the brewing space. Lots of barrels. Lots of personality.
Food truck was on hand, which I had for dinner, and it was good.

Great place to grab a beer and I concur with the DIY vibe. It's a simple and quaint little tasting room with nice folks, top notch brews. Definitely give'em a try.
There were pretzels for guests.
They have 13 taps including a guest cider. The Pale and IPA I had were similar but both excellent. I will be back if I'm in the area.

A wonderful brewery in my old neighborhood, a very nice addition to an already great place to live. Very nice selection of beers, including a great fresh hopped pale ale (in September), a hop-forward session IPA, a two barrel-aged beers, a saison and a sour that were fantastic. Check it out!

Edited 4/11/18.
I've visited Ravenna several times since my first visit and the place has really come into its own. The beer has just gotten better and better, with a wider variety of styles available (albeit still often relatively few taps due to high demand). Ravenna is definitely worth a stop.

Ravenna Brewing is a brand new brewery in the Ravenna/U-Village area of Seattle. It's a great little facility with a very DIY vibe and lots of outdoor seating for nice days. The place seems to be baby and dog friendly, but it's still just a taproom with no food or anything. They had 6 beers and a guest cider, and I had the pale ale and the Belgian pale. Both were pretty good, especially for the youth of the brewery. Service was good and quick despite being slammed on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
