The brewers at Ravenna Brewing Company are ardent lovers of the Chinook hop variety, so it is with great pride that we present this fresh-hop West Coast Double IPA. Over 20 pounds per barrel of the finest and freshest whole-cone Chinook hops from Roy Farms (156 miles away), were deployed in the whirlpool, resulting in an avalanche of dank and tropical goodness that exemplifies the magic of fresh hop season. This potent salvo of wet hops is boosted to the next level by more T-90 Chinook and Mosaic hops in the dry-hop, as well as cryogenically frozen-fresh 2024 Comet CGX hops from Crosby Hops. Swirling flavors and aromas of under-ripe pineapple and mango share the stage with bold impressions of citrus zest, cedar, and dank earth. The finish is clean and dry, with a pleasant, lingering bitterness that holds your attention and brings you back for more.

Medium amount of creamy white head. Pale gold look. Equal amount of mixed (mainly grapefruit) peel and pine aroma, with a little coriander/allspice tinge. Fairly light bodied for a double I.P.A. Balanced citrus peel and medium toasted malt flavors, with a not too biting tinge, for the taste.
