16oz can into a nucleated pint glass.
Look: Pours pitch black, no light penetration. A khaki colored head reduces pretty quickly (even with the nucleation assist) into a tan ring around the glass. Some fine lacing is left behind.
Smell: Roast malt, sweet toasty coconut, a light nutty note.
Taste: Follows the nose, but more robust. Roasted malt blends seamlessly into toasty coconut, mild dark chocolate, and a sweet hazelnut finish.
Feel: Medium bodied, a bit thinner than it should be, IMO. But there's nothing really wrong here.
Overall: A very solid sweet Imperial stout and I personally don't much care for coconut beers. 10.9% ABV is well hidden; and the sweetness, while lingering, isn't too intense.
