Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Oct 3rd 2022.
Slight hints of opaque custard yellow, but not sludge inducing for the body appearance. Thick beaming tall off white head with very fine bubbles and staying power. Aggressive yet kind of stuck looking and stagnant.
Classic bold hop aroma on the nose. Hints of sharp pine and dank earth with a good lingering "odor". There's also a nice herbal spice component as well which touches all the non sweet hop profile notes in complexity nicely. None seems to dominate making it a playful and explorative romp.
The palate brings just a bit more diversity also. Light flavors of mellow orange bitterness, then couple with the classic dank and weedy aromas to mix in. Finishes with lots of good tolerable green astringency, and a creamy mellow sensing mouthfeel to boot.
Pretty impressive NEIPA style which aims for more earth and bitterness which is a real nice change.
