L: Pours a dark chocolate brown, near-black, thick and viscous. Forms an aggressive espresso head that is quick to foam but also to fade, leaving behind a bubbling layer of retention on the surface and a nice khaki ring of lacing. Held to the light, a
S: Notes of bourbon, chocolate, oak, and vanilla. Fainter hints of malt.
T: Detecting plenty of bourbon, oak barrel, and some char. Some baker's chocolate and charred malts. Maybe a faint hint of dark fruit?
F: Medium- to full-bodied, bias towards medium. Oily, silky smooth mouthfeel. Light carbonation.
O: Standard bourbon barrel aged AIS. Pretty good, but nothing special.
