Tasted on tap at Cricket's Draft House, Waco, TX. It was listed as a Hazy DIPA, but I found it closer to an American DIPA (although it was slightly hazy). Aromas of aged hops of an indistinct variety. Flavors are also flabby and undefined, perhaps oxidized or not fermented well? There is a clear hop flavor, but I can't make out the variety and it is muddled with the aged malt flavor. This is just not a very good beer. Maybe it is just an old keg?

Pours. Crystal clear light amber hue.
Nose is a classic west coast double ipa. Pine, resin, grapefruit, a hint of berry, and a caramel malt character.
Taste follows. Grapefruit, resin, citrus rind follows by a caramel / toffee malt backbone. A bit more malt than I’d like, but still tastes great.
Easy to drink, no trace of alcohol. Not overly sweet, but could thin out a hair and drop a touch of sweetness.

Man I hate to be harsh on this one cause it’s dated 7/10 and I’m consuming on 10/29. I usually don’t even buy IPAs with this much age on them, but I had to complete a mix 6 at Kroger and didn’t see much else to choose from. Complete malt bomb. Most likely a drain pour.

Pours a somewhat hazy golden amber color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is decent. Lacing is very good. Has a more tropical aroma with some vanilla. Nice malty taste. Sweet tropical fruits and vanilla. Just odd in an IPA, but it comes across well. There is some bitterness at the end. Medium bodied with mild to moderate carbonation.
