Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a pitch-black color with a one finger head of brown colored foam. The head has a amazing level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is quite strong of a nice toasted malt smell mixed with lots of chocolate and coconut. Along with these aromas comes a strong smell of milk and crème as well as notes of coffee and caramel. Rounding it all out are some subtle hints of dark fruits and wood, giving a very inviting smell overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a slightly bitter and sweet roasted malt taste, with the bitter coming from a cocoa nib and coffee flavor and the sweet being of a milk chocolate and coconut crème taste. At the same time there are flavors of char and toast as well as notes of cappuccino and caramel. As the taste advances forward, the coconut gets more intense in nature, bringing with it some flavors fig and plum. With the advancement also comes more sugary sweetness with molasses and toffee notes. Toward the very end the coffee fades a touch and with a hint of warming alcohol, one is left with a roasty and sweet chocolate coconut macaroon like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body oft eh brew is thicker and creamier with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the rich flavors and style, the feel is great and makes for a nice warming slow sipper.
Overall – A tasty imperial stout with a nice chocolate coconut flavor. Overall, rather fun to try on a nice cooler winter evening.

Thanks to Ozzylizard for this one, from his barrage during NBS BIF #14. 12oz can (dated 8/12/21) poured into 12 oz tulip. Poured a fully solid black color with about an inch-and-a-half of brown head that had very good retention and lacing.
Lots of coconut at the front of the nose, with solid roast malts as a foundation. No noticeable hop presence.
Very similar on the tongue, with the addition of a notable bit of alcohol heat.
The body, as expected, was full and smooth, with a sweet finish. But, the alcohol that lingered at the back helped cut the sweetness down, and it remained enjoyable.
Drinkability was very good, this can was gone much quicker than any beer that's almost 12% has a right to.
Overall, a really nice beer. Most certainly worth grabbing if you see it.

Appearance: Very dark amber body, with reddish highlights before a strong light. A somewhat coarse tan head, with good persistence presents and Belgian-like lacing adorns the glass wall. Beneath the surface, patches of fat bubbles adorn the glass wall.
Aroma: If the aroma were to be described in just two words, those words are "toasted coconut". There are notes of milk and dark chocolate and sweet cocoa, as well, but the toasted coconut utterly dominates the aroma. One thing that is conspicuously absent from the aroma is alcohol. Of the 11.8 percent ABV, there is no hint, at all.
Taste: As with the aroma, strong flavors of toasted coconut are prominent in the taste from start to finish. Early in the taste, there are notes of roasted malt, cold coffee and bitter cocoa. Midway through the tates, there is a surge of cane sugar syrup sweetness. Late in the taste, there is a wave of dark malt and leafy herbal hops that counterbalances the surge of sweetness in the mid taste. As with the aroma the flavor and warmth of alcohol are utterly absent. Finishes with toasted coconut and a lingering herbal bitterness.
Mouth feel: Full and creamy, with a viscosity approaching whole milk and a bit of zesty carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: A pleasing example which pairs very well with rich chocolate desserts.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a Unibroue La Fin du Monde tulip, served at The Lake House. 1806:08012021
