Appearance: Hazy golden orange, with a modest white head, which soon collapses to a scattering of foam. Slight and slow-rising carbonation is noted. The lacing is thick, fine-beaded, and glass-coating.

Aroma: Ripe bananas clearly own the aroma. There are strong notes of natural vanilla, caramel, and fresh white bread,

Taste: The taste begins with, as expected, ripe bananas, following on is a mild wave of caramel, and a note of mild and sweet alcohol, There is also a flavor reminiscent of sugar cookie dough. At the finish, there is a wave of sweet alcohol, not surprising at an ABV of 9.0%.

Mouth feel: Very full and pleasant, soft, quite nice.

Drinkability/notes: This well exceeded my expectations, like liquid banana bread.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin Du Monde tulip.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a clear deep golden amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading slowly over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a banana and crème smell mixed with aromas of caramel. Along with these aromas come a note of hay and grain, producing a sweet almost banana bread like aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel and banana flavor mixed with a light graininess and some flavors of crème. As the taste advances the banana gets more and more intense in nature. While quite authentic in nature upfront, as it increases in strength the banana takes on a more artificial candy like flavor (think banana runts). At the same time a light herbal and hay taste come to the tongue, adding a nice balance to the sweet. A light alcohol taste comes at eh very end, and with the increase in banana and other flavor transitions one is left with a rather intense and slightly warming banana creme taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. Overall, the feel is good for the mix of banana and booze, making for a nice sipper.
Overall – A surprisingly easy to drink banana brew. An interesting and fun brew to try.
