The brewers may call this a milk-stout and they may utilize lactose to brew the beer, but it does not taste like a milk-stout, which is great for me because I typically don't like the cream sweetness of a milk-stout, but bad for this review because I rate based on style.
This is English stout by taste. A roasty bitter profile with a very dry finish. Coffee and roasted malts in the nose. Medium light bodied. Black/dark brown and opaque with a half-finger of tan head.
A nice drinking beer. Almost thirst quenching.
