L: Had this beer on-tap at Fine Creek, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick consistency. There was a small amount of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Below average lacing.
S: A solid aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, citrus fruit, and a bit of hops as well.
T: Tasted of bit of citrus fruit zest (the advertised clementine), light roasted malt, some chocolate notes (always welcome), a surprising amount of hops in the finish, and a light woody quality. This almost tastes more like an American Black Ale than a stout, but that's not a problem. The chocolate and clementine mix well together to make a subtly likable flavor.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a dry, smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer in spots, but it's nonetheless drinkable. Worth a try.
