L: Had this beer on-tap at Fine Creek Brewery, poured into a pint glass. Had a bright, golden yellow color and a clear texture. There was a quarter inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Solid lacing.
S: An interesting aroma of citrus fruit, malt, and some hops.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of sweet malt, lots of hops (mostly in the finish), a ton of citrus fruit (lemon, in particular), some booze, and a sugary quality. The flavor for this one is kind of a hybrid between an IPA and a malt liquor, and it works. Very fruity and with hoppy, with warming alcohol in the finish.
F: A good shot of carbonation with a slick finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Malt liquor is a justly derided style, but hopefully versions like Fine Creek's will change that view. A well-crafted beer.
