L: Had this beer on-tap at Fine Creek, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, creamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Average lacing.
S: A good, but not great aroma of roasted malt, whiskey, chocolate, and molasses.
T: Tasted of a tinge of dark chocolate (could've used more), a lot of roasted malt (present throughout), a good shot of molasses), and a moderate amount of whiskey (and the barrel). Kind of an uneven flavor, but it holds your attention. It could have used some oomph with its ingredients, but it's still decently tasty.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Medium-bodied. Thinner than expected.
O: This isn't a perfect stout, but it has its good points. Worth a look.
