L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that lasted a below average amount of time. Not much lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, whisky, and some smokiness.

T: Tasted of a bit of an earthy quality (presumably the peat malt), a tinge of the smokiness, a good shot of dark chocolate, a lot of whisky (and its barrel), and light hops. This is a fairly boozy beer, but the chocolate more than makes up for it. It's quite a rich, meaty, and complex flavor.

F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Full-bodied.

O: This is a well made, powerful porter. Definitely worth a try.
