16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy thin rings of lace. It smelled of bready malt, caramel and floral notes. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with a mild, citrusy bitterness.

Look: Pours a clear red-amber and quickly, an off-white head billows up and slowly settles to a pillow, leaving awesome lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, toasted bread crust, floral hop notes, raw dough, and a little toffee
Taste: Starts off with a nice, lush bready malt note that eases in and quickly followed by layers of warm and toasted bread and toffee. Floral hops shine in the middle with notes of star jasmine, sweet box, and daylily in the mix and raw bread dough peeks in and out throughout before it closes out with more bready goodness, toffee, and floral hops
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and crisp on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. This was one I hadn’t had from these folks previously, not to mention a really tasty and underrated style, so gave it a go and glad I did. A nice Altbier that is well-made and has a lot of flavor packed into a light and easy-drinking package. Definitely worth the purchase if you see it

Pours an amber hue with light tan head. Great head retention that sticks to the top like fermented dough. Smells like pretzels, maybe some freshly roasted peanuts as well. It's not a particularly aromatic beer. This is a spicy Altbier. I don't know if I have had anything this hop forward. It has a spicy floral note and it's super dry. The malt is a bit part character in this. I am not a huge fan of the spicy hop note so this really isn't my jam as far as an Alt goes.

Deep dark amber pouring beer. Fairly clear, though hard to see through due to it being so dark colored. The head is off white, and 2 finger. The bubbles are quite small. The head retention is quite good, and there's some lacing on the glass.
Nose is light. There's a faint hint of malt, and a slight hint of nuts.
Taste - There's not a lot going on in the flavor right away. I do get a roasted nut flavor that comes in right away. I also get a slight roasted malt flavor up front. The backside is where some bitterness comes into this beer.
Smooth body, the feeling of the bitterness lingers in my palate.
Interesting beer overall, and a pleasure to try.

L: Pours a clear copper. Massive frothy off-white head has excellent retention.
S: Caramel, brown bread, floral/earthy hops
T: Follows the nose. Notes of caramel and earthy hops.
F: Light bodied with a dry finish
O: This is my first altbier so I have nothing to compare it to. I should revisit once I have a baseline. Good beer though.

Wayfinder provides some clever insights on their can
“ save the earth, it’s the only planet we have with beer “
“ instructions 1) open 2) drink”
“Mysteriously delicious beer”
A Düsseldorf specialty, an Altbier is a German-style Brown Ale. The word alt literally translates to "old" in German, and traditionally Altbiers are conditioned for a longer than normal periods of time. Other sources note that "alt" is derived from the Latin word "altus," which means "high" and refers to the rising yeast. Take your pick, but the extended conditioning mellows out this ale's fruitiness and produces an exceptionally smooth, clean, and delicate brew. Its color ranges from amber to dark brown, carbonation is moderate, and while known to express the slightly spicy, herbal character of Noble hops, the key word here is balance. A stronger version brewed less frequently, "Sticke Alt" is a maltier and hoppier take on the Altbier.
Poured into a stange , the pour produces a clear copper brown liquid with a fluffy two finger off white foam cap
Aroma is malty, earthy , hint of spice
Taste us earthy, malty , slight bitter snap on the finish
Sudsy, light mouthfeel
Good beer

16oz can from Tavour. Clear, dark amber pour, thin silky off-white head. Woody, nutty aroma, toasty malts. Taste is dark toast, chestnuts, dry, wooden, tobacco, light sweetness. Very dry finish.

Cloudy brown body with a giant tan head and spotted lacing. Nose has brunt caramel with earth, dark yeast, grassy hops.
Taste is met by big earth, dark yeast, earthy hops, and faint minerals. Feel is airy and yeasty, with appropriately higher carbonation, malt is solid backbone through out. Hit the spot on a cool fall happy hour

Appearance: A bubble show builds a three finger head atop the crystal clear caramel colored liquid; good persistence and clumps of lacing
Smell: Toasted brown bread with caramel and hint of floral tones
Taste: Caramel and toasted brown bread with a floral hint appearing in the middle; grassy, mineral tones emerge, after the swallow and linger into the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: The finish is a little unusual but I always enjoy a good Alt

Canned on 2/21/22; consumed on 7/19/22
Pours a ruddy, copper-brown body topped with multiple fingers of dense, soapy, off-white foam; great head retention leaves ¾ of a finger of cap, a large, creamy collar, and myriad webbing of taut lacing coating the walls of the glass.
Aroma is rife with fresh brown bread into an oncoming, ripe lager yeast overtone, distributing an underlying florality through the back end of the bouquet and leaving a clean minerality and dry toffee notes on the close.
Taste brings a floral, woody roast into vivid brown toast and a clean minerality; soft lager yeast over the mid-palate is followed by a tinge of smoke on the back end and distant toffee through the finish.
Mouthfeel presents a body in the higher end of light and a rounded, semi-silky fluff of moderate-high carbonation; a creamy mid-palate fades with a delicate prickle through the back end as a subtle, airy bitterness envelopes a drying finish.
Predominantly clean and intently focused, the dry, malty profile levies resounding toast to a delicate, floral hop undertone for an approachably earthy altbier projecting minimal sweetness.
