Pint at the Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
$7.00.
Pours a nice deep copper body, with a small off white head.
Aroma sweet toffee malts..tony floral hop whiffs.
Really nice rich balanced flavors. Malty but butter, cream and light molasses.
Great smooth, semi thick mouth feel.
A lovely smooth easy drinking Marzen.

Clear copper appearance with a full white head, dies down into a pinky finger, no lacing. Bready yeast and amber malts lead the nose. Tastes adds toast, faint caramel and mild grain with a finishing kiss of grassy hops. Feel is bready and malty with a higher carbonation yet silky smooth. Very nice for September. The wife liked it

Big foam in the Belle-Vue Gueuze glass and a handsome dark copper-red color. Aroma of cereal and straw. This is quite malty as well as resiny. It's more like an Amber Ale, as in heavier and less of the refreshing quality of the typically lighter style. Plenty of spritz on the tongue with a substantial malty mouthfeel. Roasted grain flavors, caramel, and an herbal finish. Some bitterness in the aftertaste along with an asgtringent note. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

I am sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Date stamp is 03/03/2023.
The beer pours a clear mahogany color with a fluffy and frothy beige head of 2.5 cm. This foam fades to nothing soon after the pour. Some large lazy streams of carbonation do rise to the surface.
Aroma is dark bread notes and some caramel and a hint of grassy hop. No hints of the ABV here. The nose is generally fairly mild, but suitable for the style.
First sip reveals a medium body and very smooth texture. Carbonation is very fine, mild and slightly tingly. Beer drinks very easy for the physical traits.
Flavor is toasted grains, some dark bread and a hint of toffee. This rolls to some dry and a bit of bitey herbal tea hop finish. This lingers after the swallow a bit. The hop does create a bit of balance to the beer and works.
Another beer from Wayfinder that I enjoy and am glad to have had a chance to review.

We added this beer since it's not a Marzen. Very much a red lager, beautiful clear red color. The head vanishes to nothing. Aroma is light, slight yeasty. Taste is bready, with only a slight bitterness. Carbonation is low, too low in fact. We were rather disappointed in this from Wayfinder.
