Zesty wheat lager brewed by our Female-led staff for SheBrew- an annual beer festival celebrating women in the beer industry. This pale lager has delicate notes of doughy wheat, bright notes of orange zest and freshly crushed coriander.

Clear golden brew with exuberant foam in the Tuborg glass. Aromatic with lemon peel and peach in the nose. Zesty Lager? I would believe this has citrus zest in it. Light and tangy and with the wheat it tastes more like a fruity wheat beer. Not hoppy enough to call it a IPL, after some sippiing, but there are some distinct hop flavors and a slight bitterness. And it's quite a pleasant citrus-flavored beer for a quaff. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Crystal clear golden body with a finger of sudsy white foam, plenty of lacing abounding. Doughy bread, orange and lime zest, coriander, and slight minerals in the nose. Taste has the bready yeast and dough start but almost immediately the zest, coriander and hops cut in, giving a zippy yet pale complexion. Feel is light and bready with zesty hops and well, zest. Would be ideal in the summer heat

Clear straw with nice carbonation. Good citrusy lemon zest aroma and flavor. Nice balance with solid wheaty malt character. Light bodied, crisp and clean. Crushable!

unique hybrid here of a wit and a basic lager, i think orange and coriander but instead of expressive belgian yeast, its just lagered out, but its wheat based and has that body, not like anything i have really seen before, and pretty compelling stuff from a brewery that pretty much always delivers, this is fun, summery, and delightful, both wit and lager appreciable in here, very cool. this has such an interesting nose, bready lager yeast works in super well to a more wit forward aromatic, the orange element is fresh and real and just a touch sweet on top of wheat and probably pils malt base, while the coriander adds the earthy spiciness that does kind of mimic the traditional witbier, husky and straw-like, lightly floral, doughy, and yet still clean, summery all the way, somewhat reserved, enticing. the flavor is layered well, lager light and tighter early, the yeast and some of the more familiar malt notes, then it goes a little wheat and orange forward in the middle, before finishing as more of a hybrid with the coriander spice, a white pepper note too, and the quickness of the lager, dry even with the orange still there, really interesting, would make a good summer seasonal, if thars not already what it is, but its early for that. some nice body from the wheat without it getting heavy, good carbonation, fresh from the citrus, lovely balance really and a cool style fusion i wont soon forget. this really grew on me as i drank the pint, easy outside beer of high character.

16oz can from Tavour. Pale, clear golden, fizzy head. Light fruity aroma biscuity. Taste is grainy and sweet, faint citrusy notes, smooth nice mouthfeel.

Look: Pours a bright and clear yellow with an excitable head that slowly settles to a silky pillow and leaves minimal lacing behind
Aroma: Straw, soda crackers, freshly cut grass, lemons, floral hop notes, pilsner malt, and freshly bakes wheat bread
Taste: Opens up with a hit of cut grass and soda crackers that are quickly beaten out with a lemon note that lingers as grass and crackers rejoin the fun. Floral hops assert next and hold center stage as pilsner and wheat malt hold down the backdrop before strengthening on the close
Mouthfeel: Light but full, very clean, medium-high carbonation, and spritzy and clean on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. I love these folks’ portfolio and will try anything they put out so spotted this recently and dove right in. It’s a tasty and well-made lager that is unique in both its strong lemon presence and wheat malt component but make no mistake, this “zesty” lager is still a clean, easy-drinking treat
