Inspired by the Kölsch beers of Cologne Germany, this straw-blonde ale is subtly hopped, fermented with ale yeast and then lagered cold. The results, a light-bodied brew with a delicate fruity aroma of an ale and a crisp clean finish of a lager

Light and crispy. Slight spicy kick accompanied with a hint of fruit (peach) taste. Aroma? Grains and cereal. Thinnish head that recedes to a thinner line that maintains itself with a clear pale gold (amber) hue. Lacing is decently prominent. Good overall.

I bought this can at loblaws not sure what the brew date is under the can it looks like a code A232007:39 not sure what that means why not just a date next time so people know when its brewed. The beer was ok not sure if it was old because of the code I believe beer is best when you drink it no more then 4 months after the brew date
Anyway the beer is good easy drinking lagered ale but Brewery needs to change the code to a date next time and maybe change the design of the cans

S: Moderate aromas of green grapes are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of green grapes along with hints of pale malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked the aromas and flavors of grapes but there was no bitterness or dryness in this beer.

Good head, as long as you don't pour down the side of the glass. Taste is a combination of sweetness (they claim fruity, to me it tastes sweet of undefined fruit) and a bit of bitterness. Lasting taste is sweet in the mouth. Not really my type of beer, I prefer something hoppier with more bite. Probably more appropriate for a hot lazy day in the summer while soaking up some sun.

lagered ale seems to be a thing in ontario, i saw this as a style descriptor on a number of beers from a range of breweries, not something we often hear in the states, even when something like a kolsch is made, fermented with an ale yeast but then cold conditioned, which must be what they are doing here. this mad and noisy series represents the more ambitious arm of the creemore springs operation, and i enjoyed the couple of beers i had from it. this one pours clear and golden and insanely bubbly, looks like a soda in my mug, which must be less than fully clean, fizzing like crazy but not retaining a lot of head from the can. smells fresh and malty, more lager than ale to me, crisp and simple, but it doesnt taste like much. actually, its quite like some of the other pale creemore beers, just with a bit more malt substance to it and slightly less dry than the actual lagers for the most part. a slight floral character here is from the hops and a welcomed inclusion, meanwhile the lagered aspect of this makes more of an impact as we get towards the finish. light honey and cereal and pale barley, simple beer but refreshing and mighty easy drinking. best when ice cold.

Can - pours a turbid unfiltered copper-gold ale in the glass with a decent 2 finger off white cap that laces the glass sides well. Aroma is intriguing - floral, caramel, citrus peel and pine with a musty earthy tone....this is NOT Kolsch by any stretch. had a bulky robust mouth feel, lively hopping but very earthy. Flavor profile has caramel malts and bitter hopping in balance with musty-woodsy side tones - goes to an increasingly bitter and dry finish with a hop bit at the end - very rounded and mellow yet bright hoppy and robust - My guess is this is more like a lagered robust ESB, far better than I was expecting.

Mad and Noisy Lagered Ale.
473ml can. 4.7% alc.
Creemore Springs Brewery. Part of Molson-Coors.
Soapy white head. The beer is a soft golden colour. There is a haziness to this beer and lots of ascending bubbles.
The aroma is bready, hints of yeast, biscuit notes, a maltiness, faint spiciness, and gentle hop notes.
The taste mirrors the aroma.
The beer is smooth and has a pleasant crisp and dry finish.
The beer is light to medium bodied.
The can says the beer is refreshing and delicious. I'm certainly in agreement.
