A dark farmhouse ale split between used rye whiskey and red wine barrels to age with our house mixed culture. Bottle-conditioned with maple syrup.

Pours out of 500 mL btl into Paradox snifter. Sark mahogany, light tan head. Great retention. Aromas of earth, cherry coulis, bramble, berry. Soft raspberry, oak tannins and cranberry reside on a bed of crumbled hibiscus and crisp green herbs, eucalyptus. Moderately dry, med-light body, slight grainy spice on finish. Only ding is that I'm really not sensing the malt...more of a wild ale profile.
