12 fl oz pull tab can nabbed for $10.99 USD plus tax per sixer at a Whole Paycheck in New Orleans, LA. Canned 01/28/20.
7.2% ABV. "Rye ale fermented with fresh strawberries."
Strawberry puree is present but isn't robust and has something of an artificial bend to it as though some kind of extract or flavoring was used instead of actual fresh strawberries as indicated on the label. Jam, 2-row/pale malt, and...that's it.
I don't taste any rye spiciness and wouldn't figure this for a rye beer if I tried it blind. The jammy fruitiness of the beer eclipses everything else, including any rye (and any evidence of its highish ABV).
A drinkable likable fruit beer with an alcohol punch, but not a great brew in its own right. Its simplicity really drags it down.
