Each batch of this light, fruity ale is made with 84 lbs. of raspberry puree. It has a brilliant pinkish tint and a hint of natural raspberry tartness. Introduced in the Spring of '94, it was so popular that we now brew it year 'round.

Had this one at dinner on the last night in Destin, FL for aasher’s wedding! Served from tap into a shaker. Poured yellow-orange with a minimal white head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, raspberry, sugar, and subtle skunk. The flavor was of sweet malt, raspberry, sugar, and water. It had a light feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was an average brew. I can honestly say that raspberry was present in this one in both the aroma and flavor. And that’s where it stops… While the raspberry was there it definitely wasn’t the dominate factor as it was quite watered down for the most part. While it was quite refreshing it wasn’t the most enjoyable thing I had while there. Worth trying if you are there or just curious, but I wouldn’t do so otherwise.

Why not? This beer arrived a light bodied and relatively clear brownish pink in color with a soapy lacing. The nose is of semi sweet raspberry, and seems to be from an extract. The flavors are light and kind of bland. The raspberry isn't nearly as prevalent as in the nose. There isn't any real wheat characterstic. It is light and refreshing though. It is what it is. It's like a less sweet version of Leinenkugel Berry Weiss. It's not awful on a hot Florida day.

Pours a clear, amber color. 1/6 inch head of a white color. Poor retention and poor lacing. Smells of raspberry flavoring and some yeast. The "raspberry" is so strong it masks any other aromas (if there are any). Fits the style of a Fruit / Vegetable beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp with a high carbonation level. There is also a noticeable tartness associated with this brew. Tastes of raspberry flavoring (not actual raspberries) and some yeast.

Not bad, but a little fru-fru. Light wheat character with some citric tartness. The raspberry was well moderated, contributing more of an aromatic that up-front flavor to the beer. My wife liked it, which is perhaps a condemnation of the beer, since her preference is the less flavor in beer, the better. Nonetheless, for what it is, it was well executed. More of a concession beer than anything.
