Very basic. Very bland. Needs more hops. Needs to be crisper and cleaner. Bready and biscuity malts.

more of a malty american blonde than a true kolsch to me, its sweeter and grainier than i normally look for in the good ones, but not a bad beer, just a little off traditional and kind of been there done that for me. i believe they are calling it skinny dipper now, its got a bright golden color, awesome clarity, and a minimal head on it, looks a bit less lively than i usually look for in these, but it smells nice and pale malty, european but less delicate than a good kolsch is here, some sweetness that could have been fermented out too, honey and crackers and an almost nutty element when i taste it. the yeast is european tasting too, lager-esque, but not quite finished with the job, i think if this were all the way dry it would be a better beer, but i like the flavor of it and i like the sort of mineral profile it brings. not a lot of hops to speak of outside of balancing bitterness at the end, a light metallic property there too on the swallow, and a little stagnant on the carbonation. its just a blonde beer, nothing special, but it gets the job done...
