On-tap at Tustin
A: The pour is a very cloudy pale yellow color with a good sized white head.
S: A very strange nose for a saison. Lots of fruit notes: apples, pears, and lemons, for the most part. Slightly bready, slightly sweet, but not really any yeast or funk notes.
T: A similar story on the palate...sweet, light, and fruity. This one has more of cider or berliner weiss flavor profile. A bit of lemon and apple juice, along with a slight lactobacillus note.
M: The body is quite light with only a moderate carbonation, which is a bit low for this beer.
D: Not awful, but I wouldn't really call this a saison either. A very strange beer and I have no idea what they were going for.
