On-tap at Tustin
A: The pour is a cloudy pale yellow color with a nice white head and minimal lacing.
S: An incredible level of fruitiness on the nose. Lots of tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango, and coconut, but there's also a nice big grapefruit aroma. Strangely enough, some vanilla is present and there's a nice tart and mildly funky note.
T: The flavor is just as nice, but perhaps a bit more emphasis on the tartness. Pretty funky with a touch of spice. There is a little bit of wheat flavor and the same tropical fruit profile. A bit more emphasis on the citrus and lemon notes, though.
M: Medium in body with a moderate carbonation and a nice dry finish.
D: This was really good and I hope they brew it again in some form. I found this really pleasing and enjoyable.

Sampled 2/4/2011 at the brewpub.
Pours bright and clear light yellow, fluffy white head, no lacing but decent retention.
Aroma is grapefruit mostly but also pineapple. Some strange hints of barnyard funk are hidden in the background.
Flavor is very fruity. Grapefruit, pineapple, orange, peach come to mind. Also, I get a strong flavor of cinamon and barnyard funkiness. I also detect a touch of wheat in the background. I understand the wild aspect of a farmhouse beer but I wouldn't consider this very to style for a Saison. Tastes pretty good but not overly to style. I'll call it half way at 3.8.
Body is light. Quite drinkable.
