Poured from 16 oz can, dated 03/23/18. Explicitly says, "No Jerks" on the bottom, so jerks, be warned.
Look: Pours a hazy light yellow in color, that strongly resembles pineapple juice. I achieve about a 1 & 1/2 fingers worth of a frothy white head, that dissipated rapidly. Minimal residual lacing.
Smell: Pineapple forward on the nose, as expected. Also hints of green apple, orange, mango. Light lemon notes as well, but the pineapple dominates. Slight lemongrass presence from the hops.
Taste: The pineapple really shines. As I let the beer sit on my tongue, the pineapple flavor really comes out. I get pineapple, orange, mango and some papaya on the flavor. Has a slight acidic finish, which is similar to that in citrus fruits. Really enjoyable.
Feel: Light to medium in body, with high amounts of carbonation. Has a slight fizz on the tongue, but I enjoy it.
Overall: I was pleasantly surprised by this offering. It is very tasty for a pale ale, and I think the crew at Temescal made a mighty fine brew. It is easy drinking, and very enjoyable (even my wife enjoyed it). I am grateful to have tried, and I totally think it is worth a try. Cheers!
