Rare Data is an Extra Special Bitter brewed with English Maris Otter and Crystal Rye malts. Toffee, caramel, biscuit flavors are met with bitterness and a touch of complimentary spice from the rye. Simcoe and Fuggle hops give this beer a gratifying hoppy finish where old world meets the now.

On draught at As Is NYC.
L: Light haze, russet colour, small cap leaves rings of lacing.
S: Light caramel.
T: Caramel, soft toffee, some floral notes, unexpected citrus in the background and earthy hop bitterness.
F: Medium/light body, light carbonation, dry finish.
O: A decent ESB with simcoe hops thrown into the mix. In other words, an ESB made for the American palate. Personally, I think the end result suffers as a consequence (the simcoe and the fuggles are uncomfortable partners) but I totally understand the rationale.
