Can from 7-11
Hazy copper color with a huge frothy beige head that persists. a bit of over carbonation in the can it foamed over after opening. Spicy earthy pepper and clove on the nose with hints of caramel maltiness. The flavor is rich darker malts with bits of toast and caramel but also a little bit of oxidation. Spicy earthy peppery counters. Only my second roggenbier, it seems pretty well made, but its not really my thing.

Pint on draft at Loco Coco in Kittery.
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear amber with a short white head.
Aroma: Some pepper, some wheat, some faint honey. Some rye, expectedly.
Taste: Has a pleasant rye/pepper flavor. Not very complex, but quaffable.
Mouthfeel: Easy drinker, especially for style.
Overall: Decent rye ale. I'm not sure this is really a true roggenbier; seems more like a rye bock type concoction. Pretty good though.
