On tap at Flanagan’s in Schroon Lake, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear dark orange, with a small head and lots of lacing.
This smells very, very malty, with a huge astringency.
This is wildly gross. It kind of tastes like when you take a pill but don’t immediately swallow it, and it starts to dissolve on your tongue, and tastes like astringent death...you know that feeling, right? This beer is like that. Don’t order it.
This is so astringent and hard to drink - I could barely get through half the pint. I’m generally someone who finishes their beer no matter what, but I just couldn’t do it.
This is one of the worst IPAs I’ve had in a while now. I kept expecting it to get better, but it just didn’t.

On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a fairly nice looking malty amber/red color with a small white foamy head that slid off extremely quick. Barely any lace.
The aroma had a nice sharp blend of sweet to bitter pine with a zesty little citrusy turn over some sweet cracker malt.
The flavor seemed to mirror the aroma fairly nice and hoppy sweet with the malt seemingly only there for balancing purposes. Aftertaste was the cracker malt with the piney hops, nice and clean.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt like a West Coast styled IPA and the ABV felt as projected. The finish felt good with some piney bitterness.
Overall, nice to see a nano-brewer taking a very nice stab of a West Coast styled IPA. I'd be sure to have again.
