an absurdly named but clever little beer. a hearty blonde ale as a base, more malty and substantial than most, with a light cherry flavor to it, not dominated at all by the fruit, nothing fake about it, and a real easy warm weather drinker. all of the beers in here that has fruit or spices or something added were subtle, and this one is too, the cherry is well behind the malts in both the aroma and the flavor of this one, but the cherry is also the element that makes this exciting, so a fine balance is struck here for sure. it is a bit sweet, a combination of a light caramel malt quality and the fruit itself, but the sweetness extends a nice flavor complexion and i get as much cherry after the swallow as any other moment in this. a little light on the carbonation for me, which was true with a couple of the beers in here, but i like the bigger body in a blonde ale and think it works really well with the fresh and mild cherry built into it. we had a great time in here and look forward to visiting again!
