Had it from tap at the brewery poured into a tall half pint.
Clear brown color with good head and lacing. Sweet malty smell. Slightly sweet up front with a pleasantly bitter finish. A bit of ginger spice with a hint of cinnamon. Nice beer!

A: Pours with a light haze, that eventually clears up. Amber/brown in color. A two finger beige head forms Good retention, and lacing for days.
S: A fantastic malt character in the nose. Toasted, biscuit/bready, toffee all intermingle. A touch of herbal earthy spice hops for balance, but the malts are the show.
T: Again, the malts are great here. Warming toasted biscuit and toffee malts all the way. A firm spicy, herbal bitterness in the background. Though the malts are great and keep me coming back.
M/O: A medium body that has crisp carbonation. Clean and ultra smooth. The malt character and body are great here, and keeps me wanting to come back for more.
I hope they continue to make this more often. This will be a regular of mine when I see it. Most American breweries don't get this great of a malt character for an ESB. Which just brings me to a happy place, and one I want to keep coming back to. Really well made. I would love to see a cask conditioned version of this...
