A: Pours a crystal clear golden/yellow color. A dense two finger white head forms with excellent retention and spiderweb looking lace left behind.
S: A lovely hoppy aroma that is certainly grape like. A touch of earthiness, a touch of bitterness. Some cracker like malts are detectable but a lingering bitterness finishes everything off. Love this, superbly simple with the unique hop character shinning.
T: Like the nose, hoppy...at first in a generic kind of way. Then the grape, and white wine character comes into play. Which is really unique and I find fantastic. Some cracker and biscuit like malts show up, but then a lovely bitterness lingers. Everything is so well rounded, it is hard to describe my enjoyment here.
M/O: A light body but perfectly effervescent carbonation. Crisp, clean, dry, and ridiculously smooth. This is so easy to drink, I can't come up with anything else to say. Except I want to always be able to come back to this.
This is a limited release lager, which probably won't make waves anywhere. Though this is just fantastic. The Nelson Sauvin hops work perfectly, with being superbly clean and dry this is just an all around stunning example of an American lager. I hope they can get more of this hop and make it more often.
