Once again with the strikingly sourness of Berliner-style Ale at its service, its the generous amounts of strawberry, coconut, pineapple and cream that keeps us all baa-ing for more.
Turbidly taupe and looking rather muddy to the eye, an initial frothy but quick settling in its foam stance, Lamb in a Jam (Pineapple Strawberry Coconut Fluff) lures the nose with a captivating scent of those prescribed fruits along with a creamy sweet scent with sherbet and tang. Sweeter on the tongue, its a taste of sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, cream of wheat and sourdough that carries the early palate.
Much of the same transpires as the alcoholic tropical punch spills over the middle palate, but with a smooth an patient transition from marshmallow and tropical and berry flare and toward a souring and slightly spicy taste for balance. Tantalizing, zesty and succulent, there's an exotic fruitiness that propped up from the beer's underlying lime, white grape, cidery and winey sourness. Its racy acidity closes the session with a piquant alcohol and pectin spice with the calming of coconut.
Quite full for sour ale but its bracing tartness lightens the texture as well as the mood, trailing into a vinous spice of absolute tropical, alcoholic sherbet.

Sweet and tart, strawberry-pineapple smoothie nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet pineapple and marshmallow vibe upfront, and then a strawberry and coconut, subdued tart swallow. This has smoothie like mouthfeel to it....this is excellent!
