Thanks to megadeph for this 16 oz. can that arrived as an extra in a recent box. New brewery to me with some…interesting can art. Dated 12/2/20.
The pour is more New England than Tom Brady (leaving aside this unfortunate Tampa Bay period), a pureed orange. Where is my waffle? Smells thick, sweet, oranges cut with a mishmash of other warm fruit.
Final Sin – pretty sure I have pith in my teeth after the first sip. This is a pretty routine effort at a NE IPA. There is tropical fruit (check), color (check), teef-rattling sweetness (check), & a complete lack of bitterness to offset any of it. An IPA for kids raised eating three bowls of Frosted Flakes a day.
Too many of these boring & routine “IPAs” in the wild today. Straight mediocre.
