Fruited kettle sour ales are all the rage. Long forgotten are the more historic types of German sour ale. But the capable hands of Baa Baa Brewhouse, this fruity berlinerweisse is clearly the way to go.

Layering in a creamy and deep lavender pour, A Lamb in a Jam celebrates the berries of raspberry, boysenberry and blackberry with a perfumy fruit cocktail and with a twinge of tartness and a hint of pastry dough. Sweet with cobbler-like effects, the character of pie filling and smoothie set a sweeter stage and wraps around the tongue with vanilla, cream and pulled candy. As those berries bounce on the tongue, the brisk acidity of lime, lemon, crabapple, white grape and gooseberry prop up the berry flavors with a distinctly sour finish.

Full bodied, pleasantly cloying and balanced with tartness, the bold sourness is needed to create such drinkability and striking refreshment for such full beer.
