Another weirdly interesting concoction from Atwood. This one is a collaboration with Gruff of Bellingham. Atwood grew the golden beets this is brewed with. Dark yellow brew with vanishing foam. Silky mouthfeel with a modest carbonation. Vegetables and malt taste.
The aroma is something from the compost heap, though not unpleasant. Flavor is just beets, rather mild and slightly acidic. It's kind of yeasty, certainly a Saison, but it would be so much better without the beets! From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station.
