Canned 11/07/2024
Poured from a 16oz can
She's pretty. Deep brown capped by a solid, mocha colored foam. Great retention and swoops of lacing.
Nose is cocoa, mildly roasty. A gentle nudge of vanilla kind of carries the malt around and hints at a cafe latte.
The flavor follows the nose well. Predominantly sweet, but not cloying. Again, the vanilla is smooth and creates a little space for the roasted malt notes to present more subtle notes.
Mouthfeel is not lite but seems to lack heft. The finish is a nice balance of sweet and slight, roasty bitterness.

Poured Nov. 29, 2025 from an undated can into two tulip glasses. Pours near black with very thin tan head of fairly short duration, leaving the merest ring of fine bubbles around the edge. No lacing. Smell and taste both the same" chocolate /cocoa with a hint of vanilla. Not overly sweet. No fake chemical taste. On the heavy side of medium body, maybe even into the "heavy" range of body. Overall, I really like this one a lot. It could be darn near perfect of it had a more impressive and persistent head. The characteristics are about the same as I recall them when I first drank it fresh about a year ago, so I don't think storing for a year in the refer hurt anything.

From Good Times Oakland, no dating on the can.
It pours a cola colour with a fine layer of tan foam, good lacing, not bad head retention.
The smell is plenty of cocoa nibs, vanilla, mild roast, on the sweet side. Nice.
The taste is cocoa nibs, vanilla, not so sweet taste wise, bit of a bitter bite in the finish. Alcohol is there and provides some warming.
High end of medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel.
This is good overall.
