Session IPAs have long divided the brew community. To many IPA aficionados, they're nothing more than "hoppy Pale Ales". We respectfully half-disagree. So we created Half-Truth, a believably tasty Session IPA with all the resinous grapefruit flavour and rich mouthfeel of an IPA and the low alcohol content of a session beer.

First Halo brew. 500ml bottle, poured into spiegelau pint glass.
Looks like a beer, light amber, bright white head, frothy, sticky....dank smell off the first pour, but dies down fairly quickly, suggesting a fair amount of west coast hops.....more west coast hops on the palette, dank, earthy, grassy, and some residual bitter pith, but otherwise not a lot of fruit/florals in this. Medium bitterness, and for a light beer, an alright malt body. Crisp and refreshing.... it is certainly a nice beer on this +30 evening in May.
For a first run, a pretty good beer! Certainly an IPA and not a pale ale, hoppy, but not heavy. Could be a little more punchy, but still, it's good!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
