500ml bottle
Served in a wine glass
2018
This beer pours pale yellow and is topped with a couple inches of fleeting white head.
The smell has peach, mango, and lemon. It smells nice and sour.
The taste is sour tropical fruit. The flavors of sour mango and peach are undeniable. There is some green apple as well.
Thin bodied with an effervescent and dry mouthfeel
This is an excellent example of a sour IPA. The tropical fruit flavors from the hops go great with the sourness of this beer. I was very happy to have brought this home from Toronto.

FYI - Described as a "sour IPA" at the brewery, not a general american wild ale. I think this more specific style tag will better colour your tasting of this brew.
I don't dig IPA's -- love sours. Yet, as a rule I'm not a fan of the new school sour IPA's, beyond satisfying a curiosity, since I'm sure the historical IPA's must have gone a bit tart on that long sea voyage.
Style is a bit of a mash up. And beers tend to be over complex palate destroyers with no subtlety
This is the exception. Yeah. It's complex as hell but instead of a mishmash of contrasting flavours it all happens in order like a parade on your palate. First the tart acidity. Then the Hop bomb. Then the fruity esters and that dry stale hop finish.
Looks like paradise in the glass. Golden and cloudy. Carbonation is medium.
Wanted to try this brewery for some time. Glad I did. This is the first thing I've tried by them. Really impressed.
Also, they post their recipes online for the home brew community. (They are former HB's themselves).
