can from LCBO - pours a lightly hazed gold color a weak 1 finger white cap... intriguing aroma- citrus, dusty malts, banana and clove phenols....sharp citrusy character...flavor profile is surprising...it's layered with citus in front but dusty wheat malts, fruits and clove undertones....long clean wet finish where the malt breaks lose at the end...unique

Can from LCBO dated June 23,2023. Smell Initially - sour vomit. A bit off putting. Taste is okay - bubblegum and some orange after taste. I won’t be rushing out to buy more of this one.

473 nl can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase. Canned February 27, 2023.
Appearance - Mildly hazy golden brew with some visible bubbles and capped with two fingers of fluffy white head. Great spidery lacing left behind. Head retention is less than expected.
Smell - Lots of orange, almost to the point of smelling artificial. Hints of wheat and bananas too with a trace of coriander.
Taste - Decent wheat beer, some graininess, with more bitterness than expected. Orange doesn't come through as much in the flavor (but the bitterness does). A little coriander too and then some leafy and grassy bits in the background.
Mouthfeel - Quite smooth and creamy. Medium bodied and quite drinkable. A bit on the gassy side.
Overall - A better brew than I was expecting, Juiced Seagull has a very good nose and packs enough punch as a tasty and good feeling beer. Worth a try and will be welcome in the warm weather.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 27 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy golden-yellow colour, capped with over an inch of smooth, foamy white head that settles off within four or five minutes. An attractive curtain of lace is draped across the glass, with a thin cap and creamy collar surviving afterwards - looks good for a pale wheat ale. Orange peel and blood orange pulp on the nose, with hints of grainy malts, bready wheat and coriander-esque spiciness. Nothing too exciting, but the citrus comes through effectively, and lord knows I'm a sucker for citrus.
The same can be said for the flavour profile: orange peel, blood orange and bready, wheaty pale malts do most of the legwork, with hints of yeast spiciness and banana making an appearance toward the tail end. Suggestions of citrus peel, wheat and spiciness carry on into the aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation that adds a little bit of crispness to this wheat ale's smooth, fluffy mouthfeel. Superb drinkability - I almost ran out of beer before I finished the review.
Final Grade: 3.75, managing a B+ by just a hair... or a feather. Cowbell's Juiced Seagull is a serviceable hot weather swigger, and potentially viable as a witbier substitute, i.e. if you enjoy Hoegaarden or similar beers, I think Seagull will be right up your alley. This one's got more citrus & less spice, but the niche it fills - that of a light, fruity, refreshing spring/summer wheat ale - is more or less identical. I'm sure I'll revisit this a few more times once the weather heats up.
