A jacked up and juiced up take on our Hazy Days Juicy IPA. The addition of Zamba hops adds even more tropical fruit, pineapple and citrus character to this hop-forward, juicy ale. 40 IBU

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Oct 6 2023 and served barely chilled.
Pours hazy golden-orange, topped with over an inch of soapy, foamy white head that dissipates within three or four minutes' time. Afterwards, an attractive coat of arcing lace clings to the glass, with a wide, frothy collar on the surface - looks good to me. Fruity, fairly potent aroma that includes notes of mandarin orange, pineapple juice, nectarine, pear and mango; seems more fruity & assertive than the original Hazy Days.
Fruity and flavourful - pineapple and orange are the big players, but I'm also getting hints of mango, peach and grape candy. Finishes a lot like Hazy Days, i.e. lightly floral, with fading tropical fruitiness. Medium in body, with low carbonation that rolls softly along the tongue; feels smooth and soft, with good drinkability for 7%.
Final Grade: 3.88, a B+. Hazy Nights is good, but at the end of the day it's just a beefed up version of Hazy Days. I intend to compare this side-by-side with Days in the near future - my gut feeling at the moment is that they are very similar brews, but I am going to give a slight edge to Nights because of its attractive aroma. Sampling them together should help me to differentiate them better, so I can determine which one I genuinely prefer. Worth a try, at least if you liked its predecessor.
