Can from the Packie
Solid black in color with a stingy tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Fudgey chocolate maltiness with a hint of tannin and a moderate cherry lactic presence. Not to bad.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass not sure when it was canned but recent for sure. Pours a slick black with little to no head and leaves zero lace.

Smell is must, cocoa, tart cherry, vanilla, and black raspberry jam.

Taste follows not sure if it is better or worse, but good gravy it is going to take most of what I have to keep this from finding the drain, musty, tart, hints of cocoa and vanilla, but just strange and oh lord is the cayenne pepper now, ouch.

Mouthfeel I was hoping to say something good, mouthfeel is thin and watery, very moderate carbonation, a tad dry, and at 10.5 the alcohol is hidden behind its lack luster taste.

Overall I will say, honestly never again and they as a brewery need to step back. IPAs are missing the Mark way more often than not, PB Stout Excellent, Snickerdoodle very nice, but I am trying to embrace you as a NH boy, but you all need to really take a look at what some of the other local Branch and Blade, Kettlehead, Lithermans, Concord Craft, and Backyard are doing. Jesus I don’t want to pour this down the drain at $16.99 a 4 pint rack.

Pours dark brown, slight head with some lacing. Aroma of some coffee and cocoa are present but rather muted. Flavors of sour dark fruits and coffee. The tartness from the souring works extremely well but I see this as being a miss for most people. I find the bitterness and tart feel on the palate work well together but I must say they do overpower the stout traits. All in all a highly unique offering that I'd enjoy again! Well done!
