Poured into a pint glass from a growler freshly bought at the brewery.
Appearance: Hazy pale gold
Smell: Moderate level of smoke, not as strong as I might expect, but that isn't necessarily bad. Light wheat.
Taste: Slight tartness. Almost an apple character, though that may be the power of suggestion from a style description I've read. I can see why that was written. The smoke is apparent but not strong. It should be oak that was used to smoke the wheat malt, since that's what's commercially available. Oak is used to smoke kielbasa, but it's otherwise so different that I'm not reminded of the sausage. There is also noticeable noble hop flavor and bitterness. The smoke lingers in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Moderate-to-light-body, moderately high carbonation. Still it leaves a feel in the mouth, which may be the due to the smoke.
Overall: Very nice version that fits style descriptions I've read. It leaves smokiness in the mouth, but it's refreshing.
They do not sell this in cans, which disappoints me.
