This 16oz can of crisp flowery deliciousness was dreamt up as a tribute to gritty wine harvest workers and the travails they thirstily face down every year to make us great Oregon wines. Grassy, lemony, pleasingly bitter and fruity/floral, its beguiling hop character comes from a careful blend of Sterling, Perle, Crystal, and Hallertau Mittelfruh.

one thing thats cool about these guys is that even when they make clean and more conventional beers like this, and they are well refined as this is, they are all also still kind of rustic at their core, not hard to reason why when you visit the farmhouse brewery, but its a cool sort of house vibe that does a lot for me, in a way how beer used to be, long ago in a far away land, and my dad and i were both quite pleased with this unfiltered pils type, very bright golden in the glass and still clean looking under an average but lasting white foamy head. hoppy and european right away, noble and spicy and even kind of peppery, but also restrained enough to have wide appeal, lager yeast is here, but also almost bread yeast, or pizza dough, not wild or bretty but still kind of farmy even without being an estery saison or anything. the flavor has nice balance, flows from simple earthy organic seeming pils malt to minerals to the yeast, which is the most interesting part of this, finally to the hops which get increasingly bitter as this sits, a hint of lemon there, dried wildflowers, some soapiness from the ferment, but dry and clean in its own way at the end, great carbonation too. something just different enough to stand out here, cool ferment, raw but also intentional, i liked this a lot, summery and crushable.

Pours a slightly muddled yellow to orange, but really yellow, good foamy white head with decent retention and lacing. Smells earthy, spicy, and grassy with mild hints of lightly toasted bread. I'm just adding a lot of smells because I'm not good at picking out smells. Flavor follows, but a bit buttery and muted. Feel is appropriately carbonated, but a little too full or not crisp enough. Now I am just rambling on like Craig, making statements but then adding comments that negate my previous statement thus covering all bases in an attempt to sound super intellectual. Intellectual in the worst sense of the word in that I over think universal truths. Overall, I think this reminds me more of an American blonde ale vs. a pilsner, but still a very good and drinkable beer. I don't know a lot about beer. Cheers!

Pale yellow-gold with much less of a head than you would except from the style, displaying as a thin, soft film quickly fading to a collar.

Smell is bread, Corn Flakes, grass, hay and, considering the source I'm not surprised, but an hint of what seems like barnyard funk.

Crisp and tangy, this one's pretty classic, with bread, corn, grass, toasted wheat, sharp pearl onion, wood and white grape skin, finishing slightly bitter.
