Human Village Brewing Company "It Was A Good Day"
16 fl. oz. crowler
"Same Day IPA- brewed with wet hops picked from N Star Farm in Mullica Hill, NJ the same morning as brewed."
Look: Mostly clear amber colored body with an orange sheen to it. Short head of white foam. Average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Citrusy (orange), otherwise fruity (apple), spicy, and lightly piney over sweetish malt.
Taste: Fruity (apple, orange, pineapple, strawberry); lightly spicy, gently piney, and a bit earthy in the finish; sweetish but not overdone, and anchored by a solid bitterness. It's sweet upfront, then bitter, and finally sweet and then bitter again in the finish.
Feel: Medium bodied with a fine bubbled, moderate carbonation level that leaves it smooth.
Overall: This may be an American IPA brewed with American hops but it also has some English components to it, namely the yeast (of course I could be wrong about that) and the carbonation level.
