To celebrate 20 years of brewing we pay tribute to the beer that started it all, our original flagship, Full Moon Pale Rye Ale. Though not uncommon in the current craft market, brewing with rye was nearly unheard of in 1996. For this celebratory ale we've eliminated the crystal malts to let the spicy character of the rye shine through. Classic American hops Chinook and Cascade are blended with a new experimental variety bringing flavors of orange, citrus and pine to balance the sweet, spicy malt, and the initial bitterness of this Imperial IPA. Raise a glass and toast to our past! Cheers to the future.

22 oz bomber pours a hazed golden-orange color with a mighty cap of off-white head. Excellent retention and huge, swiss-cheese lace. Good looker.
Dark, bready rye is plenty evident on the nose, even so far as caraway seeds. Hops seem muted on the nose and carries a malty sweetness and yeast to the table.
Taste delivers bready, zesty rye further than I think any beer that I have had before. If you want rye in your grill, get this up in yo face. Despite the aroma, there is plenty of hops - tropical and grassy - to tone the sweetness down and balance it out. Smooth for the abv and has a lot of complimentary and balanced flavors going for it. Good and interesting beer, especially cool for the style of a 20th Anny beer.

Have had multiple times on draught around, and got my first bottle for a proper review.
A: Pours with the slightest of chilled hazed. A beautiful copper/bronze color. A dense white head head with infinite retention forms with spiderweb looking lace all the way down the glass.
S: Citrus, pine needles, grapefruit all up front. Tropical fruits mingle in there as well. Bitterness is strong, then the malts take over for a bit. A fantastic rye character here. Peppery, spicy, bready. A bite of lingering bitterness in the finish.
T: Like the nose, citrus, pine needles, resiny, grapefruit and tropical fruit. With substantial bitterness. Again the rye character comes next, and might be one of the best examples of rye malt I have had. I love that spicy, peppery, baked bread flavor. A bit of sweetness, then the bitterness pokes its head through again. The balance between the hops and rye is amazing.
M/O: A full body with good effervescent carbonation. Crisp, but ultra smooth at the same time. Actually surprised by how smooth this comes out. Really easy to put back. Plenty of bitterness and alcohol, but still so easy to keep coming back to.
This is a fantastic Rye IPA. One of the best uses of rye malt I can remember. One of my favorite breweries, and they do this right. Well done and highly recommended.

Thanks to hop hound for this treat.
A fine high rye. Hopped beautifully with Chinook coming through nicely. Malt is definitely carrying this one along. Some citrus meets juicy tropical mix together, along with a hint of resin. Full mouthfeel for style. I like it.

Had two pints on tap. It had a two fingered head and a golden orange body. I really like rye and I thought this turned out very tasty and very drinkable. The rye and the hops were balanced well and the beer drank very nicely even as it warmed. Pretty awesome.

Poured into shaker from tap. Nice 1 finger creamy head. Beautiful dark opaque golden to look at with epic lacing. Smells of biscuit, mild citrus. Taste initially sweet bready malt, followed up my mango, pineapple and some citrus some alcohol present. Finishes with a slight sweet aftertaste. Great mouthfeel
