Two speakers, on your shoulder, thumping inches from your head… Boombox, a Double IPA with plenty of bass. This big box of hops delivers pounding amounts of hop flavor and aroma. Focused on immense late additions of El Dorado, Amarillo, Idaho 7, and Strata, this double IPA brings the noise, bouncing beats off of a simple malt canvas of American 2-row barley and light caramel malt. Buy it by the case, throw it over your shoulder, and start a block party! Break dancing is highly recommended!

they nailed this, a clean and simple double ipa thats modern and stands out from the crowd, bold, but not at an annoying imperial ipa abv, so many of these are creeping into harsh absurdity, so the ease this has is one of its greatest assets. so too of course are the hops, right for the style, and unique as they go, tangerine and melon notes predominate to my palate, very fresh too, well refined, balanced, and delicious. thanks again to my buddy for sending up all the real ale cans, i have really been enjoying these! honey colored, clearish, frothy white headed, and unassuming looking in the glass, maybe a shade maltier looking than is on trend, but it looks good to me. i smell a little peach and peach candy, green melon, and sweet orange, very low bitterness it seems, and not pushed to the saturation point, this is wildly clean and almost minimal in nose and taste until it warms up quite a bit, minerals from the water come through, fresh and botanical, just a bit nutty from the grain. the flavor follows, also somewhat understated but the el dorado hops stand out the most to me, thats the melon juiciness in this, snappy minerality is awesome in here and it makes this seem dry and fast finishing for the style. light pine resin, good sativa flower, and mandarins from the can. maybe faintly metallic late, but i think it helps it finish, and i dont mind the caramel malt balance because this isnt sugary. overall excellent double ipa, no sign of its alcohol strength and a cool hop profile. stoked i have another can out in the beer fridge to get into!

Moderately clear, looks golden to my colorblind eyes. Head is initially quite dense, but it flattens out to a thing cap over a few minutes with relatively poor lacing.
Aroma is initially subtle, but it opens quite nicely as the beer warms. Dank resin and pine, mango, melons, slightly malty, and a difficult to pin down herbaceousness. Even getting something like blueberry as it warms even further.
Flavor is initially bitter, with a pleasant sweetness in the finish. Dank resin prevails, but mango and melons intertwine, along with some orange juice, and pithy citrus. Malt is sweet, but not cloying. The finish is long, with a lingering bitterness, and a lasting impression of mango, grapefruit, and cantaloupe.
Mouthfeel is pleasant. Somehow it's thin, yet maintains a pleasant silkiness. Moderately carbonated.
A delicious double IPA. Good mixture of late hop flavor with a pleasantly bracing bitterness.

From a can. Clear orange with a half inch of white head. Smells of floral hops and orange. Sticky feel. Caramel malt up front with juicy tropical fruit and floral hops. Kinda all over the place with different hop flavors.

can dated best by 6/10/21; today is 3/8/21
pours a clear deep gold body with a big rocky white foam head that has moderately high retention and leaves a heavy helping of thin sticky patchy lacing as it settles to a halo
aroma is tropical fruit and berry with tinges of grapefruit; grassy and slightly herbal offerings permeate. spicy shade peppers the aroma
taste follows that up, though a cracker malt pokes through finally, bringing with it a gooey caramel backbone. an overall juicy affair, there is a hardy amount of fresh yet earthy pine hop in the mix that balances with vibrancy.
mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and medium-light body that runs smooth and near-creamy before finishing relatively crisply with a fresh piney aftertaste
overall:
this exemplifies an impressive spread of hop with a classic malt backbone to bring an absolute A-game IPA to your buds.
fruity, piney, malty, lush and fresh - it's a solid coverage area, and a great addition to any flight.
lastly, how the actual eff is this 8.1%???? I'll never know but remain thankful.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a billowy head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a grapefruit aroma mixed with other smells of papaya, mango, and tangerine. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a herbal and grass smell as well as a touch of orange juice.
Taste – The taste begins with a more crisp cracker malt flavor that has a decent showing of some sweeter citrus of tangerine and orange as well as some grapefruit hop as depicted in the nose. As the taste advances the cracker becomes a bit more bready in nature all while some other sweet of papaya and pineapple come to the tongue. At the same time, the grapefruit hop increases and is joined by a bit of grass and herbal hop, leaving one a decently hopped and crisp, but full, taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather high. The high carbonation and medium feel are nice for the grapefruit hop mixed with the moderate fruit and malt.
Overall – A fairly tasty brew with a decent hit of citrus and a nice balance overall.
