Tried on tap at Dancing Bear, 2 Mar 2012. Served in a cylindrical half pint.
Small off white head, moderately carbonated. Slightly cloudy dark yellow in color. Aroma is dominated by Brett, sour cherry pits, slight funkiness. Starts flowery sweet and funky sour. Very bubbly (N). Becomes a bit sweet and barnyardey in the middle. Medium body, alcohol shows up in the finish. Lingering light sweetness.
Probably would be better on a warmer spring day. Interesting experiment, but I prefer the Devils Backbone.

On tap at the Meddlesome Moth in Dallas
Pours a very hazy yellow with a half finger of white head. This quickly dissipates to a ring, and left little lacing.
Aroma starts with malt, but it is quite complex. There is a bit of citrus, and then a earthy funk.
Excellent taste. Lots of funky flavor coupled with lemon and other fruits. Very little sour notes or tartness for a wild ale.
Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Very easy to drink.
Very glad I got to try this one!

On tap at Meddlesome Moth
A: Pours a hazy golden yellow with a nice white head that fades to a ring and leaves some lacing on the glass.
S: The nose is very interesting with nice notes of lemon zest, grassy hops, and a funky brett aroma. The funky aroma gets strong as the beer warms.
T: The taste follows the nose with great flavors of lemon zest, coriander, grassy hops, and a barnyard funk. This really tastes like a Saison with Brett in it more than a Wild Ale.
M: The feel is crisp and refreshing.
O: I would classify this as a Farmhouse Ale rather than a Wild Ale. It pretty much blew Saison Brett out of the water as far as flavor and aromas. This is what I was expecting when I had Saison-Brett for the first time. Very tasty and highly recommended.

On tap at Down House in Houston, TX.
A: Pours a bright and hazy golden/orange color. At first a two finger white head forms, but recedes in a second to a ring that sticks throughout. Light lace is left behind.
S: Earthy funk hits the nose first. That quickly fades to a light spice, then a nice medley of tart fruit aromas come in. Apples, pears, and oranges. Very nice.
T: Oh man this is great. The up front funkiness in the nose takes a back seat, but is always in play. Lightly tart fruits of apples and pears. Bread and biscuit malts. Light peppery spice. I love it.
M/D: A medium body and good carbonation. So clean and dry. Incredibly easy to drink. A great sipper.
This is not going to be the acidic sour bomb most people think of with a wild ale. It is Devils Backbone with Brett and it works perfectly. Once again, Real Ale is showing they are probably the best brewery in Texas. Highly recommended.
