16oz canned on 03/10/2021. Thanks, @FBarber!

Pours a cloudy, pale colored beer with orange hues and a thick creamy lace that drops quickly to a thin lace and then nothing. Phenolic in the nose with yeast, spice, clove, banana, and plenty of gum. Aroma carries through to the flavor, but there's a bright fruitiness that brings a burst of zesty citrus with lemon, grapefruit, strawberry, kiwi, and grass. Quite hoppy, but not overly bitter. Medium-bodied with a crisp and prickly carbonation bite. Husky, soft, wheat presence that's astringent. Suggestions of caraway seed. Bone-dry with clove lingering in the finish.

Aside from the head retention issues and too much gum, this is an interesting twist on a Hefeweizen.

Pours a cloudy, hazy orange color - but its both lighter and less cloudy than their hefeweizen. Thick 4 finger head that dissolves and disappears with alarming speed. No residual head remains on the beer. Aroma has notes of creamy fresh wheat, light clove notes with some fruity notes - grapefruit, banana, strawberry, and some light generic citrusy notes.

Taste follows the nose with the wheat and a strong clove note coming across up front giving way to these bright fruity notes - banana, grapefruit and orange. Light bitterness on the back end. The fruitiness from the hops is very reserved - Its not necessarily hopped-up as much as it is hopped with hops that stand out giving the aroma/flavor profile another dimension not usually found in a hefeweizen. Also, of note, this particular one leans more clove than banana whereas the hefeweizen earlier leaned more banana. Feel is creamy, full bodied and smooth. Light, prickly carbonation. Sort of drier on the finish.

Overall this is a nice beer - very enjoyable.

Cloudy golden yellow with a white head and lazy lacing. Smells of clove, big wheat, black pepper, a hint of citrus and banana with finishing grassy hops. Taste follows suit, but really does get the most out of the hop interaction with the wheat, giving orange and lemon a burst in the middle of wheat, black pepper, phenols, clove, very light rye bread and grass. Feel is shaped by the wheat and hops with some hints of the german yeast textures in there too. Crisp enough, great on a warm summer evening

Pours into a weizen glass with three fingers of billowing foam, opaque pale egg yolk color, and lasting surface coverage.

Aroma is more on the phenolic clove end of the weizen yeast spectrum. As it warms there’s a hint of sweetness, not really hoppy in the aroma, besides a tiny herbal impression.

Taste is very mildly bitter, with clove and wheat dominating. Dry, phenolic finish, with a numbing tingle that reminds me of Sichuan peppercorns. Slight coconut or banana-ish note in there that is a unique flavor, not the usual big overripe banana from some hefeweizens. I wouldn’t really say grapfruit, as the label implies, the hop character is much too mild. Feel is creamy and medium bodied, soft carbonation, easy to drink.

Overall it’s enjoyable, but the hop character could be turned up quite a bit more. Looks and feels great, just needs a little more of the advertised “hopfen”.
