Reddish pink color, seems less saturated than the Kriek of years past, and that may be due to additional barrel time. Thin layer of foam and spotty lace.
Aroma of cereal grain and nebulous fruit, not well defined as cherry.
Taste is similarly undefined, fruit is still there but marred a bit by THP. Cheerios, cereal grain, faintly mousy. Acidity is moderate and pleasant, but the grainy THP quality has taken hold and lingers into the aftertaste. On top of that, the bourbon barrel doesn’t lend much either. Back to the drawing board on this one, it’s not greatly flawed but really didn’t hit the mark.
