Late summer in the biergarten, 12 oz. draft in a plastic cup.
Dark reddish orange, compact layer of surface foam, spotty lacing.
Aroma was fruity and woody, some semblance of the blackberry addition was present. Light dill and cheesy funk. Mature and well balanced, no acetic properties.
Taste was tart, mild seedy tannic blackberries, brie rind cheesiness, oaky barrel tannins. Juicy and finishing dry. Medium bodied with ample carb. Nice to finally try this one at the artist’s market event, paired well with a Fraise slushie and lunch from Beard & Belly.
